Tashkent by Cheyenne for Spring

Spring is here!!! Guess what and love is also in the air. I have a boyfriend!! I call him Sir Crank because he is quite a sweet cranky and sensitive person, but he means the world to me :D.

Today I would like to mention about a brand rather young and sassy worth the shout. Debuted in 2005, Tashkent by Cheyenne has been year after year, carries a very specific feel to it. Rather raw, fresh, almost feel like you take a long piece of leather ribbon, zig zag it, knot it, until it became a piece of footwear. It is always beautifully made, and I think one of the pieces could be perfect for spring :)

Here is some of the Spring 2010 Collection ^^

My Little Number by Cynthia Vincent

Last Friday, I went to a party somewhere in Mayfair. How brave, I went solo knowing only the hosts. I needed to let off some steam and let loose a bit. So I decided to wear my little number, Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent classic slip dress in CREAM! I do not remember the reason why I picked the sheer almost like a nightie dress instead of a black one. But this piece is Cynthia Vincent's trademark, just like DVF's wrap dress, BCBG Maxazria's cardi wrap, and Herve Leger spandex dress.

Then I accidentally came across an article this afternoon titled,"Applying To Be Your Trophy Wife". The summary says:

"City girls know how to analyze a company’s balance sheet. City girls know how to draft watertight warranties. But when it comes to matters of the heart, they just can’t seem to seal the deal."

This reminded me of the night at the party. I met someone who work in investment, after a long conversation, I found out that he is virtually very successful and single with Mercedes Sport and a big house in St. John's Wood. A very decent man and a gentleman with Spanish accent. So then, the conversation gets deeper and more about finding out how I view life and whether I am classy enough too walk by his side. He finally pop the number question and the invitation for a fine dinner. Alas...I thought hard about it (sooo relating to the girl writing the article). I am not a golddigger and I am lucky that I have not so far made my life decisions based on merit alone. AND, the post last week was about someone who I value a lot right now. With that in mind, I -as the writer did - called it a night. But hey! At least I know that my little number works!!

Hmmmmm...I bought this dress by Moschino Cheap & Chic in red....

...and this dress by Gorgeous Couture in blush - last November. Can't wait to wear them again!

The Latest in Classic

It has been awhile and it has been very intrigueing for me lately. Tried to deviate from my comfort zone of pink and black....

I just recently visited London Fashion Weekend where big designers sold their items in a fraction of the retail price and local designers used the opportunity to showcase their specialties to London's most savvy fashionistas. I fell in love on the first glance with Roberto Cavalli's belt and chose that as my item of the moment. From then on, I started looking further into the brand. Well....purchased myself a red dress yayyy....of course still within Dewi style. Up to now, I still wonder whether I made the right choice and whether the dress really fits me...........(tried it last night and this morning too).

Ugh....confession of a shopaholic..... I am so in love with this dress, yet still don't know how to associate it with who I am...help!!!

You know I adore Marchesa right?

Yes I also still want to get married in Marchesa.

Here goes the latest in classic......

Marchesa

Such beautiful to the point of theatrical. Even if I were to purchase a piece.... I have not yet the chance to mingle in a society classy enough to wear one.

Valentino

Oh yes, I just recently purchased a vintage green Valentino dress as well. It is the epitome of elegance. I could not take my eyes of any Miss Valentino.

Blumarine

I love Blumarine that it is very Italian very chic...and very-very-snobby :)

A picture (sort)of me^^

Coming to another personal "ME" post, a really good friend of mine once sent me me this picture with a smiley on the title...

I thought it was just another fashion picture he'd like to show me. So I gave my opinion saying it was a nice look.
Then he replied,"DID YOU NOT SEE WOT I SEE?".
"WOT?? NO".
"The 3 words…the shoes, the top, the girl with long hair?. DEWI!LOL, the…girl…is…Dewi!!!".

It still made me smile big up to now :)....
